Miyagase DamToday we took an MWR trip to Miyagase for the first night of their Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony. It's absolutely gorgeous up there! We had a great time walking around all the little shops today. We ate all sorts of weird food. Some weird noodle stuff, a turkey leg that tasted like ham, dried soba noodles in a cup, fried potato ball things that kinda tasted like cider donuts, a who-knows-what-kind-of-meat sausage on a stick, corn cob on a stick, and chocolate covered bananas (also on sticks).
(Ewww, I look icky)

Anyways, the trip left the base at 2pm and we were aiming to get to Miyagase by 4:00pm, but since we didn't hit traffic, we got there much sooner so they stopped by the Miyagase Dam and let us explore on our own for about 45 minutes. Here are some of the pictures that we took.

Miyagase Dam is breathtaking! That chocolate covered banana looks delicious. Enjoy and take advantage of every opportunity you have to explore the beautiful Japan. Memories are forever.
Love you both.
